The Euromap specification states that the ejector coupling should have a life in excess of 2,000,000 operations at 50% of the loading force.

So we built a test rig and tried it.....

Arm goes in, Arm goes out, Arm goes in, Arm goes out....>2,000,000 times.
In fact 2046114 times...

The wear on the female coupling amounted to a small area of bruising

The wear on the male was a small area of deformation on the lip.

The coupling still functioned perfectly.
So we tried to destroy it......by loading it up to twice the maximum force specified in Euromap.
It wouldn't die.......
